Adam D. Wagshul, M.D.
Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Adam Wagshul grew up locally, graduating from Millburn High School and attending undergraduate college at The Johns Hopkins University. He remained in Baltimore to attend medical school at The University of Maryland, concentrating his surgical training at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where modern trauma care principles were developed. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in Philadelphia, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and then proceeded to a fellowship in orthopedic trauma care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Wagshul returned to the Morristown area to practice from 2003 to 2006. He now returned to join The Orthopedic Group after completing a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at Hospital for Special Surgery. His specialty training provides insight into a broad range of developmental, congenital, arthritic, and traumatic foot and ankle complaints. He also continues to provide expertise in complex trauma and fracture care of the upper and lower extremities, and continues to actively participate on the trauma team at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Wagshul has served as an instructor for regional, national, and international meetings. He has had the privilege of educating residents, fellows, therapists, first responders, and colleagues on fracture care and modern trauma management. His educational style conveys to patients a thorough understanding of their risks and benefits of treatment. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
