Dr. Jeffrey Siegel, a New Jersey native, received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He then returned to the New York metropolitan area where he attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Upon graduation he completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. A fellowship in Sports Medicine was then completed under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Sherman, a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon.
During his training, Dr. Siegel gained significant experience in the most current techniques used to treat all orthopedic injuries, especially the more complex injuries of the shoulder and knee. This includes arthroscopic shoulder surgery for rotator cuff injuries and dislocations, knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, repairing fractures involving the shoulder or knee, and knee and shoulder replacements.
In his established practice in Morris County, with offices in Morristown, Parsippany, and Randolph, Dr. Siegel has successfully returned thousands of patients to an active, pain-free lifestyle. Although he has superior surgical skills, over the ten years in practice he has developed a reputation to only use these skills when necessary. Dr. Siegel is known to spend time listening to his patients, understanding their problem, and communicating a plan for recovery. Most often, non-operative treatments such as home exercise, physical therapy, medications, or injections provide a successful outcome.
